@Nivvorendinggeordie well thats only 1/16 of the greatest bands in the 60s e.g. iron butterfly was also veryy good with in a gadda da vida!!

@vivrospetjon Yeah. Good that you used Caps.

its ironic how the animals had a massive hit with a song about new orleans yet were actually just a bunch of young Geordie lads from Newcastle though. they were 1 of the best 60s bands along with the who & the beatles too.

I saw these play before they were called The Animals (with alan price) when they backed Sonny Boy Williamson (1963-4) at the Club 11 (rythm & Blues club) in Sunderland. Sonny Boy remarked that “this group will go far” and sure enough they did!

A DARK SONG. DAMN ERIC’s VOICE IS SO POWERFUL, EVEN WHILE BARELY MOVING. EFFORTLESS, SUCH RANGE. THOSE GUYS ARE PLAYING THE HELL OUTOF THOSE INSTRUMENTS.

I LOVED THIS 40 YEARS AND STILL DO.

    YOU TUBE IS SIMPLY PHENOMENAL.

THANKS FOR POSTING THIS HANISH !!!!!!

Amazing.. they used film to record these first music *videos*. Although I understand High Def video existed sometime between the late 70s and early 80s. Japanese I think had it first. But this blows any video away. The colors are vibrant.
