Das Jahr 2010 hielt für André Rieu und sein Johann Strauss Orchester eine ganz besondere Premiere bereit. Zum ersten Mal waren sie in Südafrika zu Gast. Ihre Tournee führte sie nach Sun City, Durban und Kapstadt. Sie wurden von einem begeisterten Publikum herzlich empfangen. Speziell für die Tour wurden ein paar „afrikanische Spezialitäten” ins Repertore aufgenommen. So standen unter anderem das Lullaby „Thula, Thula, Sarie Marais und „The African Dream” auf dem Programm.
