after initial amazement at the sound, and thinking about it, I think that this song is about the insight of the stunning truth of non-dualism at the time of dying. conscience is clear when memories flood through you and you now no longer distinguish between pain and ecstasy. you have transcended. sex and death. love and hate. truth and illusion. it’s not really about drugs, although I’m sure that the experience of death is pretty ‘trippy’. don’t try it
