Can you damage your eyes by staring at the sun on tv?

I know you can damage your retinas or become blind by directly staring at the sun in real life, but can this happen if you stare directly at it on tv?

Your eyes, no — unless you stare really hard for 20 minutes or more, or really close to the TV (but then, you could get eye-strain if you stare at a picture of a cat). Your brain, yes. TV really messes up your brain.

No, but you can damage your brain by watching the programs. Oh, I just realized: if you’re asking questions like this, it may be too late…

No, but don’t watch today’s cartoons too much – your brain will turn into super size slurpee.

Can you damage your eyes by staring at a photograph of the sun? Think about it.

Nope…you will not go blind. TV’s have a much lower limit on how much light they radiate compared to the sun. Hope this helps.

Yes you could. If you looked at the sun in real life, the rays would burn your retina. If you watch too much tv, whether it be the sun or barney, your eyes will be damaged too.
